A place to unwind in the heart of the countryside

 Dine al fresco

The house is beautifully restored

A pool with a view

Nestled in the rolling hills of Le Marche between the beautiful Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic coast is Casa sul Tramonto which means Sunset House.  A traditional Italian farmhouse restored to a very high standard and complying fully with the latest seismic regulations, Casa sul Tramonto offers luxury self-catering accommodation in which to spend time and is ideally situated to allow you to explore both the coast and the mountains, or simply to relax at home.

The house is set in its own grounds with views to hilltop towns across an ever-changing rolling landscape.  It has four en suite bedrooms and we can provide a couple of folding beds for young visitors sleeping in their parents’ room.  At your request the bedrooms can be made up as twin- or double-bedded rooms. A cot and high chair are available.  Please ask when booking.

All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with a roomy shower, toilet and washbasin and we provide towels for the bathroom as well as for the pool.

For your peace of mind, there is a safe in the property for your valuables. There is also a first aid kit fire extinguishers and smoke alarms. We ask that you don't smoke in the house.  WiFi internet access is available.

Outside there is a 6m octagonal pool in a brilliantly sunny position, a large barbeque and shady eating area.

With two first floor terraces to choose from, you will always be able to find some sunshine to sit in or some cooler shade. From one of the terraces you can sit and look over the valley as the house is bathed in the colours of the sunset.

On arrival, we will provide you with some of life's essentials including some local wine for a restorative drink. Depending on the season we will try to leave a selection of local produce which we hope you will enjoy.

If you stay in the cooler months underfloor heating is available throughout the house and there's a woodburning stove in the living room.

David and Maggie bought the farmhouse in 2004 and lived in a small caravan for much of the time the house was being restored.  While their farmhouse is occupied by guests they live in a nearby traditional and ancient casa di terra, earth and straw house.

"We fell in love with the region and were beguiled by the people who live in it.  We have found them to be extremely friendly and helpful.  Living in rural Le Marche is like stepping back in time.  We never cease to be amazed by the energy of the people no matter how old they are.  You will see spritely 80 year olds still out in their vegetable gardens digging, planting, weeding and harvesting."

They will be on hand to welcome you to Casa sul Tramonto and provide you with any local information you need. But this is your holiday home from home – they want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the privacy of this beautiful house.
