Casa sul Tramonto

Nestled in the rolling hills of Le Marche between the beautiful Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic coast is Casa sul Tramonto meaning Sunset House.  A traditional Italian farmhouse restored to a very high standard, Casa sul Tramonto offers luxury self-catering accommodation in which to spend time and is ideally situated to allow you to explore both the coast and the mountains, or simply to relax at home. 

The house is set in seven acres of land with views to hilltop towns and towards the mountains.  It has four en suite bedrooms and we can provide a couple of folding beds for young visitors sleeping in their parents’ room.  At your request the bedrooms can be made up as twin- or double-bedded rooms. A cot and high chair are available.  Please ask when booking. 

All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with a roomy shower, toilet and washbasin. They are equipped with soap, toilet rolls, towels and your beach towels.

For your peace of mind, there is a safe in the property for your valuables. There is also a first aid kit and a fire blanket. The property is fitted with smoke alarms. We ask that you don't smoke in the house.  Telecom Italia permitting WiFi internet access is available.

Outside there is a 6m octagonal pool in a brilliantly sunny position, a large barbeque and shady eating area.

With two first floor terraces to choose from, you will always be able to find some sunshine to sit in or some cooler shade. From one of the terraces you can sit and look over the valley as the sky changes colour and sunset arrives.

On arrival, we will provide you with some of life's essentials including some local wine for a restorative drink when you arrive. During your stay we will leave a selection of our home-grown produce which we hope you will enjoy.

THE OWNERS

We bought the farmhouse five years ago and lived in a small caravan for much of the time the house was being restored.  While the farmhouse is occupied by guests we live in a nearby traditional casa di terra, earth house, which was bought at the same time and which we are still restoring.

We fell in love with the region and were beguiled by the people who live in it.  We have found them to be extremely friendly and helpful.  Living in rural Le Marche is like stepping back in time.  We never cease to be amazed by the energy of the people no matter how old they are.  You will see spritely 80 year olds still out in their vegetable gardens digging, planting, weeding and harvesting.  

We will be on hand to welcome you to Casa sul Tramonto and provide you with any local information you need. But this is your holiday home from home – we want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the privacy of this beautiful house.
